Question 3 of 3

The logic, written out
The tool above runs on three rules any packaging veteran would recognize. If you'd rather read than click:
- A customer opens it → mailer box. E-flute for products under ~10 lb; B-flute from 10–30 lb. Over 30 lb, even a customer-facing order should ship in a heavy-duty RSC — mailers aren't built for that weight.
- A warehouse opens it → shipping box (RSC). 32 ECT covers loads up to ~30 lb; go 44 ECT or double-wall above that.
- A retail shopper sees it on a shelf → paperboard: a folding carton for most products, a kraft tuck box for the budget-friendly natural look, or a rigid product box for heavier items.
- Multiple or fragile items, in any of the above → add a die-cut insert or divider. It's cheaper than breakage and quieter than a box full of void fill.
Every recommendation here comes with the usual caveat: the right box depends on the product, and telling us what you're packing takes one form. These rules get you to the right neighborhood; the quote gets you to the right door.
